COVID-19 Statement

The safety of our employees and our clients has and will continue to be a central work ethic and business principal of Jonathan Le Maistre Tree Surgery Limited.

We continue to work to meet the high standards our clients expect of us and have implemented additional risk assessments to our processes in order to fulfill our contracts within the guidance issued by the Government on how to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Our employees are regularly sanitising their hands and our vehicles contain hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes. Equipment which is handled, including vehicle steering wheels and door handles are also cleaned regularly.

The nature of the work we do means that our tree surgeons and ground staff tend not to work in close proximity of each other. They are not required to wear additional protective clothing and masks, (except when travelling together) however as we monitor the ever changing situation we will apply ever more diligent controls as determined by each risk assessment or the guidance issued.

In line with arboricultural work standard health and safety practices, our clients tend not to be on site or in close proximity of our workforce. Should there be anything that our clients do wish to discuss with us before, during or after the job then please contact Jono or his foreman, Chris Neviani by telephone.(07797 711 762 or 07797 711 761)

This week we have been working for one of our commercial clients at a golf course. The project was clearing Gorse, Bramble and self seeded Holme Oak to reclaim the area and turn it back to grassland, in line with its original intended design.
Also we were contracted to remove a wind thrown Pine tree with an unstable root plate.

Do you require our vegetation management services?

Call the Team at The Office now for free help & advice and/or to arrange a site visit & quotation on 01534 867992.

We are extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded Approved Contractor Status by the Arboricultural Association (AA)🌳

What does this mean?

An ARB Approved Contractor (ArbAC) is a business that has been thoroughly assessed by the AA, has met and continues to uphold the AA's Standards.

These standards are designed to assure clients, be they private, corporate or utility that the Approved Contractor applies the highest standards of workmanship reflecting contemporary arboricultural research findings, legislative and health and safety requirements, business practices, customer expectations aswell as the appropriate insurance requirements.

This award represents the Gold Standard in the tree care industry and is itself ISO 9001 (UKAS) accredited. ARB Approved Contractor is the ONLY comprehensive accreditation scheme for professional tree surgery businesses in the United Kingdom and British Isles

The assessment process was intense, carried out by the AA assessor over two days. Every part of our business has been scrutinised, from our office and customer systems, Health & Safety, Method Statement, Biosecurity, Wildlife and Environmental policies, our formal and practical qualifications, experience and knowledge, right the way through to our machinery, equipment, yard and work site operations.
Examples of our work conforming to BS3998 were assessed and our staff training and career development programmes examined.

We are now the only tree surgery company in the Channel Islands to achieve this prestigious seal of approval.

Very, very well done indeed to all the Team!
