Felling and Removal
Sometimes the complete removal of a tree is necessary. The felling technique required to remove the tree depends upon the amount of space surrounding the tree. Where there is sufficient space the tree can be removed using simple directional felling, whereby the fall of the tree is controlled using special winching techniques.
In confined spaces or where access is poor or limited, Sectional Felling is required to safely remove the tree in sections whilst avoiding damage to surrounding trees or buildings. Our teams of highly skilled climbers and ground staff work together utilising the latest equipment in rigging and mobile cranes to ensure the safe removal of trees in confined spaces. Jonathan Le Maistre Tree Surgery Ltd is the only island based company that has a Unimog vehicle fitted with an aerial platform to enable the safe and efficient disposal of both tall and awkwardly placed trees.
Our teams have experience in the most complicated and technical of removals including those close to overhead cables.
